In Au­gust, in­ex­pen­sive shoe re­tailer Pay­less came out of bank­ruptcy with a strat­egy of grow­ing brick-and-mor­tar sales by open­ing new lo­ca­tions in Latin Amer­ica and Asia.


Pay­less is still strug­gling to com­pete with other un­der-$30 shoe of­fer­ings from Tar­get and Wal­mart, both of which don’t rely on shoes alone for rev­enue and have buoy­ant dig­i­tal strate­gies. Pay­less has a web­site, but it isn’t the fo­cus of the busi­ness. Buzz
