Make it a team effort
Gather a group of “experts” to help you get healthy, says Dr. Roizen. In addition to health-care providers, find a buddy to offer support and accountability. In one study, people who had support lost three times more weight than those who dieted solo. Dr. Roizen advises, “Choose a buddy who is more knowledgeable than you about what you want to accomplish and is unafraid to help.”
