CHERYL’S SECRET TO BODY CONFIDENCE

-

Cheryl admits that growing older in the public eye can be challenging. “Every time I see that shot of me in the beginning of Charlie’s Angels, where I’m in that bikini and don’t have an ounce of fat on my body, I say to myself, ‘What happened?! Why don’t I look like that anymore?!’” laughs Cheryl, who played klutzy and sweet Kris Munroe for four seasons. “But I look at pictures from 10 or 15 years ago, pictures I used to hate, and I’ll say, ‘What was wrong with me? I looked great.’ I think that as you get older, you have to make peace with the mirror. You also have to make peace with the way your body has changed. As you get older, you shouldn’t be too thin—your focus should be on staying healthy.”

Still, Cheryl sometimes needs a reminder to feel good in her skin—and she’s found a smart way to get it. “I like to put on a dress and say, ‘Dang! I look fine in this!’ Trust me, I have to have the Spanx. The heels aren’t as high as they used to be. My waist isn’t as small as it used be,” shares Cheryl. “But when I dress up, I can say, ‘Yeah girl! That looks good!’ You just have to cover up all the right things.”
