The cheeky chop
A sideswept, slightly asymmetrical style with wavy texture adds feminine flair to a cheek-length cut, says hairstylist Laura Polko, who has worked with Amy Poehler and Leslie Mann. Plus, it cleverly leaves one side of the face open for nonstop cool and comfortable.
Get the cut: Ask your stylist for a jaw-length asymmetrical crop with sideswept bangs and graduating layers.
FOR PARTY-PERFECT STYLE: Wrap 1" sections of hair around a 1" curling iron, alternating the direction that curls fall (one section toward the face and the other section away from the face) for beachy texture. Once cool, run fingers through curls to break them up and create less contrived waves. Finish by lightly spritzing a leave-in conditioner (we like Aussie Hair Insurance Leave-In Conditioner, $4 for 8 oz., Walmart.com) onto the ends of hair. This helps seal the cuticle to prevent excess moisture from swelling strands. The result? A style that stays frizz-free and stunning! 6"
