Even though you blanched the broc­coli rabe be­fore sautéing, the picky eaters at your table still com­plain that the veg­gie is too bit­ter. The fast fix: Stir in a squeeze of le­mon and a pinch of salt. The acid and salt work to neu­tral­ize bit­ter­ness, re­sult­ing in a milder, sweeter side. Try with any bit­ter green, in­clud­ing kale and col­lards.
