SOS for melted plastic

Oops! You set the bread bag too close to the toaster oven and now the plastic residue is stuck to the appliance. The fix: Unplug the toaster, soak a cotton ball in nailpolish remover and blot at the stain. The acetone will weaken the polymer bond in the melted plastic so you can easily wipe away the remains with a damp cloth.
