Joyful herb-kissed brunch
Invite the girls to a garden party “preview” filled with fresh flourishes and no-fuss extras
Cure cabin fever with a sunny setting
The secret to a blissful indoor scene that’s relaxing and refreshing: combining an array of herbal accents with crisp colors and simple dinnerware. Here, a warm wood table is topped with a bright white runner and a fragrant centerpiece made by popping storebought herb pots into paper bags. Adding white plates and napkins and a tiered server filled with homemade muffins continues the sleek yet inviting style. The surprising extras: cloth-wrapped bundles of microgreens as plate toppers and a spool of twine—guests can snip fresh herbs and tie them up as take-home tokens!
Light up the day with rosemary twinklers
Herb-wrapped candles add a splash of style and a fresh scent to your table for pennies. To do: For each, snip a dozen sprigs of rosemary to 3 to 8 inches. Wrap a rubber band around the pillar candle and slip rosemary sprigs under the band until the candle is covered. To finish, tie white satin ribbon around the candle to hide the rubber band.
Surprise everyone with just-picked plate toppers
All it takes is a bunch of fresh herbs and paper to create so-pretty settings. To do: Cut cardstock into a triangle measuring 81⁄2" on one side and 6" on two sides. Fold the triangle in half horizontally. Glue the long side closed to create a cone. Write “welcome” on the front and punch a hole through a top corner. Loop ribbon through the hole and tie into a bow. Fill the cone with fresh herbs.
