Stop a door from slamming

We all have that one door in the house that makes a loud noise every time it’s closed. A clever way to eliminate the sound: Apply felt furniture pads to the upper and lower inside corners of the doorframe (where the door touches the frame when it’s closed). The soft felt pieces are thin enough to allow the door to close but they provide extra padding to muffle the noise when the door is shut.
