First For Women

“At 60, I slimmed from a size 14 to a size 4!”

Sandra LaMorgese felt her stress melting away as she enjoyed a relaxing lunch with her friend…until the conversation turned to growing older. “Sure, you’re doing okay for 60,” her friend quipped, “but in 10 years you’ll be 70, and then what?”

“At first, I was offended,” recalls Sandra. But the comment forced her to face the health concerns she’d been ignoring. “I didn’t know what to do to make my health a priority, but I knew I needed to figure it out.”

Soon after that lunch, Sandra stumbled upon the concept of timerestricted eating and decided to give it a try. It worked—she was dropping up to 5 pounds a week and noticed she was sleeping more soundly. And though the plan called for restricting when she ate, it was far from a starvation diet. “It’s perfect for a person who really likes to eat,” says Sandra. “You can have satisfying meals every single day.”

Her favorites included DHA-rich fish

and sugar-free pudding for dessert. “There was no downside. Even my grocery bill decreased!”

Now 56 pounds lighter, Sandra is enjoying more vitality than she could have imagined. “Everyone told me weight loss couldn’t happen after age 60, but it’s all a lie,” says Sandra, who also saw her health and wellbeing soar. “It’s almost scary how my cognitive function improved. And I have more energy than I’ve had in decades. I don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon!”
