First For Women

“I earn 6 figures making parties stress-free!”

-

“When I used to host parties, I’d get frustrated because of all the time it took to set up and clean up. Plus, I never got to enjoy myself. That’s when I launched Simply Serving (SetupToCleanup.com) to help people host stress-free parties. At first, I ran my business on the weekends, but as it grew, I was able to quit my corporate job.

“I had no idea how to launch a business, so I did a lot of research and took on a partner, Tara DelVecchio. We’d worked together before in a restaurant. In the beginning, we were hired mostly for small parties and only had a few clients, all through word-of-mouth. I knew the key to success would be finding staff who were professional, reliable and trustworthy. In the beginning, I had less than five independent contractors I knew from the restaurant I worked at. As they referred more people to me, I got more help.

“As clients realized how easy we made parties for them, more people started to hire us. For each party, we handle everything from setup to cleanup, including serving the food and keeping the bar stocked.

“My clients are still word-of-mouth referrals and repeat customers. During busy season, we have up to 35 events a weekend. We bring in $1 million a year and I take a six-figure salary.

“I love it when my clients tell me how happy they are with the event— it’s music to my ears! I also like making my own hours. The money I earn pays the bills and allows me to take vacation with my family.”
