Cheshire, England—Red pandas Jung and Nima were more curious than spooked as they investigated the mysterious jack-o’-lantern that appeared in their exhibit at the Chester Zoo. The smiling pumpkin was a surprise gift from staffers, who filled the gourd with the pandas’ regular food to encourage them to hunt and work for their meal.

And once the pair discovered that the pumpkin was edible, too, they couldn’t resist taking big bites out of it, much to the delight of onlookers.
