Easy trick to nix trash odors

To keep your kitchen garbage can smelling fresh—no matter what foods you toss in there—try this: Place a couple of dryer sheets on the bottom of the can before adding the bag. Then when you replace the bag, swap out the sheets for new ones. The porous fibers in dryer sheets will absorb and lock in odors, plus they’ll leave behind a more pleasant fresh scent.
