Quickly calm an overexcited dog
Every time your pup gets worked up, she starts to hyperventilate, making noises that sound like a series of snorts or sneezes. The next time it happens, try this vet-recommended trick: Use your index and middle fingers to gently rub the center of your dog’s throat, just under her chin, making a large circle. This will force her to swallow, which will stop the respiratory spasms causing her breathing problems.
