Bioactive water can end aches, hot flashes and fatigue in days

Despite a lifestyle devoted to wellness, Tracey Cameron, 40, was overwhelmed by crushing fatigue. Then she uncovered the often-missed culprit and the easy fix that changed everything

- —As told to Lisa Maxbauer

This is pointless. I can’t work today. I’ll have to cancel my appointments, Tracey Cameron said to herself as she hit the snooze button once again. “I was a certified craniosacral massage therapist, but I didn’t have the energy to help other people with their health when my own seemed to be deteriorating. As I sunk further into bed, I feared, I can’t do anything anymore. I’m losing all the favorite parts of my life.

Too tired to try

“I was proud of my healthy lifestyle, but lately I’d felt profoundly weak and tired. I also suffered from muscle aches and hot flashes. Despite being in bed for hours, I never, ever felt rested when I woke up. Even my usual feelgood routines, including exercise, left me feeling drained. I lived 10 minutes from the beach but could no longer attend my favorite weekly community events there. My lively personality faded away. It was so frustrating. In front of my eyes, my busy, fastmoving life screeched to a halt.

“Desperate for answers, I did some research that led me to believe it might be chronic fatigue syndrome. My doctor brushed me off saying, ‘It’s hard to prove. There are no markers to test for it.’ So I left the office worrying, He thinks I’m making my symptoms up!

“Next, I consulted my former teachers. They thought my body had become acidic. One suggested I incorporate apple cider vinegar into my diet, so I started drinking 2 to 3 Tbs. daily, but it didn’t help. And when new symptoms like muscle tingles and memory lapses popped up (so many times I was in conversations and was told ‘I know, you already said that’), I wondered what was happening.

“I was so sick for so long that my family was growing tired of hearing about it. I’d talk to my mom—my best friend—but when the conversation switched to my health, I could sense her thinking, Oh what next…? She loved me and wanted me to feel better, but at the end of the day, nobody understood what I was going through. I felt so alone. Things got so bad I had to stop working.

“I wanted to solve my health mystery more than anything, but fatigue and foggy thinking made problemsolving feel like trying to climb a hill on a bike with a flat tire. Impossible!

One-minute QUIZ

“I can’t believe how far I’ve come. It’s like lifetimes of

healing”

Mystery solved

“Then one day, on the advice of a friend, I started reading Medical Medium: Life-Changing Foods. The book’s author, Anthony William, theorizes that environmental toxins and viruses trapped in the liver can prevent our cells from fully absorbing water, triggering a sneaky kind of dehydration that worsens over time.

“It made sense. The thyroid condition I’d been managing since I was 15 had likely compromised my system, so my body couldn’t properly hydrate. The book also helped me see that my symptoms were due to a clogged liver. In fact, some of my activities, like hot yoga, were making me even more dehydrated and tired. I was even shocked to read about apple cider vinegar, which I drank every day. According to William, apple cider vinegar can stress and pickle the liver, especially in people like me who are already ill, because it causes temporary acidosis, which prevents the organ from flushing away toxins.

“To get rehydrated, I followed his advice and started eating more plant-based foods that are naturally water-rich, such as cucumbers and watermelon. According to William, these healing foods contain bioactive

water, which hydrates cells more deeply than tap water.

“I also learned about ‘living water.’ William contends that the most healing, hydrating water is pure, clean and flowing—like from a natural spring. So I started finding ways to ‘reconnect’ my tap water to nature: I added slices of citrus, mixed in a few drops of minerals—I used Trace Minerals Research ConcenTrace—and even set my filled water glasses in sunlight on a windowsill for 15 minutes before drinking it to transform the stagnant water into healing ‘active’ water.

“Within two weeks, my symptoms were 80% better. It was like magic! And in six months, my energy was restored—I woke up rested and ready to start each day. I look back at old journal entries, and I can’t believe how far I’ve come. It’s like lifetimes of healing.

“Making these changes also brought unexpected bonuses: My eyesight improved, my memory sharpened and my weight became easier to manage.

“Once again, I’m dancing, hiking and riding my bike. I’m back to working and even had the energy to add a part-time job at a plant nursery where we’re growing 28 million trees. I’m loving every minute of life now!”
