Prevent unfurling curls with this technique!

-

Argh! All that time spent creating beautiful curls only to watch them come undone within minutes of getting dressed. Hairstylist Clariss Rubenstein, who has worked with Sofía Vergara and Cindy Crawford, offers this strand-savvy tip: Right after curling one section of hair with a curling iron, roll the curl from the end up toward the scalp, gather it into a small bun and secure to the scalp with a bobby pin. Once all of hair is curled and pinned, lightly mist with hair spray and let sit as long as possible. “As it cools, this ‘pin-curl’ technique gives the curl time to set into its buoyant shape so the style has more staying power.” When ready to go, take out pins and gently comb through curls with fingers.
