Cream cheese baked right in the dough makes these fruity bites extra irresistib­le

1 On medium-high speed, beat butter and cream cheese until fluffy; on low speed, beat in flour until dough forms. Divide in half. Wrap; chill 1 hr. Working with one piece at a time, between 2 sheets of parchment, roll out into 12"x9" rectangle. Freeze 20 min.

2 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease baking sheets. Spread preserves over top of dough; cut each into 12 squares. Cut 11⁄ 2" slits diagonally from corners toward centers. Place 11⁄ 2" apart on baking sheets. Fold every other tip in toward center; press. Bake until golden, 10–12 min.; cool. Sprinkle with sugar.
