Bake up holiday-happy cookies
No one will guess these sweet treats are made with a lot less sugar!
Just a bit of honey adds natural sweetness to these crisp, nutty wafers
1 On medium speed, beat butter and honey until smooth; beat in extract. On low, beat in flour and 1⁄4 tsp. salt. On sheet of plastic wrap, shape into 10" log; roll up in wrap. Chill until firm, 1 1⁄2 hrs.
2 Heat oven to 325°F. Grease baking sheets. Cut log into 1⁄4"-thick slices. Place 11⁄ 2" apart on baking sheets. Brush with egg; top with almonds. Bake until golden, 8–10 min. Let cool 5 min. Transfer from pans to rack; let cool completely.
