ABOUT THE AUTHOR

A regular contributor to Flight Journal, Thomas McKelvey Cleaver has spent most of his life meeting and interviewing those pilots and aircrewmen whose exploits fascinated him. He is the author of a wide range of books including the best-selling The Frozen Chosen: the First Marine Division at Chosin Reservoir and most recently the bestselling Holding the Line: The Naval Air Campaign in Korea. He is currently working on chronicling the naval air campaign in Vietnam.
