The Tiger Will Not Tee-Off at LRI on Oct. 16

Tiger Woods will not be able to tee off at the Mendocino Rotary Golf Tournament at the Little River Inn Golf Course on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021. He seems to have some disabilities on his mind and has not responded to our invitation. However, all golfers who have signed up individually or with a foursome, can still enjoy a wonderful day of golf. On tournament day, Sign Up is at 8 a.m. at the Little River Golf Course with a Tee-Off 4 Person Shotgun Scramble, starting at 9 a.m. Before hitting that first drive you will be able to purchase Raffle tickets and stop by the Bloody Mary Bar. While on the course food and beverages will be served at putting green area and by our mobile refreshment cart.

The foursomes with the best scores will be eligible for prizes of $100, $75 and $50 gift cards per golfer for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finish. Special cash prizes are available for the longest drive and getting closest to the pin on the two Par 3 holes, sponsored by Mendocino Rotarian Pete Rose, not the former baseball player.

The Tournament Raffle, at the end of play, will have many prizes including an excellent selection of donated wines and many gift certificates for dinners and lodgings.

There will also be a 50/50 Cash Raffle. The winner gets 50 percent of the pot with the other 50 percent going to a special Mendocino High School Scholarship Fund. The raffle winner received $500.

All profits from the event are used to fund the many gifts the Mendocino Rotary Club makes to local non-profits and to its international project in the South Pacific.

Your cost for 18 holes of golf, food, beverages, a

Bloody Mary Bar, a Mulligan and the opportunity to buy Raffle tickets is only $80, if you and/ or your foursome register early. If you register on the day of the tournament, Oct. 16, your cost is $100. So, step up, tee off and enjoy a round of golf and support the Mendocino Rotary Club. Golf carts are not included in your entry fee. Handicaps are capped at 25.
