All Saints Epis­co­pal Church, 634 West Peachtree St., NW, At­lanta, GA 30308 Build­ing on the ac­tivist tra­di­tion of con­scious­ness-rais­ing groups, each month Charis in­vites com­mu­nity mem­bers to join The Per­sonal is Po­lit­i­cal: A Fem­i­nist Vent, a lightly fa­cil­i­tated group to talk about is­sues in their per­sonal lives or in so­ci­ety as a whole they are try­ing to process or de­con­struct. The group will then use in­ter­sec­tional fem­i­nist strate­gies as tools to help talk through these is­sues. Be­gin­ning tonight, arts pa­trons will have a new op­tion to kick off the week­end with First Fri­days, which will fea­ture com­bi­na­tions of mu­sic, art-mak­ing work­shops, per­for­mances, films, artist talks and more on the first Fri­day of ev­ery month from 6 to 9 p.m. Part art party, part happy hour, the evenings will also fea­ture drinks and light bites for pur­chase. High Mu­seum of Art, www.high.org Sketch­works Comedy, At­lanta’s award- Ge­or­gia Aquar­ium hosts the win­ning sketch comedy troupe, presents Heels - Hi­lar­i­ously En­ter­tain­ing Elec­tric Lady Squad, an all-new live sketch comedy show fea­tur­ing some of At­lanta’s fun­ni­est women. It’s di­rected by Casey Hol­loway and stars Jean Alexan­der, Bonita Elery, Abbey Finch, Ash­lee Heath, Tian Li, Maria Li­atis, Crys­tal Lo, Summer McCusker, and Julie Shaer. Hun­dreds of the sex­i­est ladies in the com­mu­nity will help the bar cel­e­brate be­ing the longest run­ning les­bian bar in the South­east. In ad­di­tion to pro­mo­tions and give­aways, two DJs will spin – DJ Rapko from 9 p.m. - 3 a.m. up­stairs and DJ Liz Owen from 11 p.m. – 3 a.m. on the main level.
