MATTHEW BRODERICK DEATH CRASH SHAME!

Victims’ relative insists star won’t apologize in person

-

PRODUCERS star Matthew Broderick is still shamefully dodging a face-to-face meeting with the wheelchair-bound man whose mom and sister died in a car accident with the American actor 31 years ago!

That’s the claim of crippled Martin Doherty, whose mom, Margaret, 63, and sister, Anna, 30, were killed in a head-on crash with Broderick on a remote road in Ireland.

Broderick was fined $175 for his role in the wreck, but Doherty insists in an exclusive interview he

“has never heard a word” from the actor, who is married to Sex and the City’s Sarah Jessica Parker and still visits his Irish homestead not far from the site of the fatal accident.

“Years ago I tried to get in touch, but I’ve had no contact with him of any kind,” says heartbroken Martin.

Ironically, in 2002 on the 15th anniversary of the crash, a publicist for the dad of three declared: “Matthew is willing to meet up with the family. There is no ill will — not any sort of anger. The family is seeking some sort of closure.”

But Martin says: “I have never, ever met him.”

On Aug. 5, 1987, fresh from his triumph in the hit teen flick Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Matthew, 25, was driving with Dirty Dancing galpal Jennifer Grey, 27, in a rented BMW when he drifted into the wrong lane and smashed head-on into a Volvo driven by Anna, according to reports. She and mom Margaret were killed instantly.

Jennifer received minor injuries, including whiplash.

But Matthew was hospitalized for four weeks with a broken leg, shattered ribs, a collapsed lung and a concussion.

These days, 56-year-old Matthew, who’s worth an estimated $45 million, and Sarah, 53, frequently visit the home they own in Donegal.

They were there last summer when Sarah posted a gushing online message about the area’s beauty.

But her husband still did not ask to meet with Martin to discuss the incident in person, says Doherty, who wants a face-to-face apology.

Meanwhile, Matthew, who claims the crash erased his memory of that entire day, insists he’s riddled with guilt, saying: “I feel horrible for what happened.”
