Accused of romancing James Keach as singer died in nursing home
AS COUNTRY superstar Glen Campbell lay in a nursing home, dying of brain-destroying Alzheimer’s disease, his fourth wife, Kimberly, was cheating — slipping away for steamy romps with actor James Keach, the ex-hubby of actress Jane Seymour, say insiders.
The bombshell charge comes as the Rhinestone Cowboy’s kin feud over his $50 million estate with three of Glen’s older children going at it tooth and nail against the singer’s weepy widow, who is his executor.
Sources insist the fling began in 2014 after the Wichita Lineman singer finished up a grueling 150-show tour for the Netflix documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me. Kimberly and James, the documentary’s director, took off on a whirlwind promo tour — and plunged into an affair, says an insider, who claims the couple were spotted leaving each other’s hotel rooms while on the road.
Sources suggest the cheating scandal could bolster the children’s legal claim in a Nashville court that the Country Music Hall of Famer was mentally incapable of signing any will before his Aug. 8, 2017, death at age 81. Kimberly was named executor of his estate, according to a 2006 will she filed, which also listed only five of his eight children as beneficiaries. During the
singer’s last days, Kim was locked in a bitter battle with Debby and Travis, Glen’s adult children from previous marriages. Debby charged Kim had locked Glen away in a nursing home and prevented his kids from seeing him. She also charged Glen wasn’t getting decent care and wanted to take him to live with her.
Kimberly insists she did the right thing by her husband during his final years.
But insiders believe photos of the widow and the Hollywood hunk may tell a different tale. Body language expert Susan Constantine studied photographs of Kimberly, 59, and Keach, 70, at various red carpet events and found evidence suggesting they were in an “intimate” relationship.
“The pictures of Kimberly and James are really disturbing,” a second insider says. “It is disrespectful to Glen that she just put him in a nursing home before going on a trip with James.”
