A COMMON pill used to lower blood pressure and ease anxiety may also dampen the desire for alcohol! Health experts studying the drug, generically known as prazosin, say it could be an effective option for problem boozers as it decreased the number of weekly drinks consumed by test subjects. “We believe our prazosin has efficacy with regard to reducing heavy drinking,” says study author Dr. Tracy Simpson from the University of Washington in Seattle.
