Cleaning fluids making kids fat

WHAT you use to clean your home could be making your children and grandkids pack on pounds!

That’s the finding of researchers at Canada’s University of Alberta, who say youngsters living in households where chemical disinfectants were used at least once a week are heftier than those in residences using eco-friendly products.

The scientists believe the subjects’ weight gain is related to negative changes in gut bacteria, which affect the body’s fat storage and promote insulin resistance.
