Pair turn blind eye as adorable tot is bullied
TWO heartless day care employees failed to stop the bullying of a frightened little girl in their care — and then one of the twisted creeps dangled her upside down by one leg in front of her tormentors, cops say!
Police in Columbus, Ohio, released a shocking photo of the abuse following the Sept. 10 arrest of former Worthington Learning Center workers Joshua Tennant, 27, and Emma Dietrich, 31.
“While we are protecting the identity of the five-year-old victim, we want to share with you the severity of what [the] little girl endured,” says a police spokesperson.
Tennant and Dietrich were charged with child endangerment after a video of the Aug. 13 incident emerged, which shows the girl being terrorized and assaulted by other kids.
“In the video, the older students are grabbing, pulling, dragging, swinging and just ‘bullying’ [the girl],” reads a police incident report. “She appears frightened and keeps her eyes closed or covered and attempts to curl up into a fetal position.”
Cops say the terrified victim tried to escape but was grabbed and cruelly held down by other kids — while Dietrich and Tennant “continually” sat nearby and didn’t come to her rescue! Then, they say, Tennant picked the child up by her ankle and carried her upside down before dropping her onto a rug!
Lisa Rowe, owner of the day care center, says she’s “heartbroken” over the evil incident and that the accused employees have been fired.
“The safety and care of our children is paramount,” she adds.
