Investigators claim Battersby told cops he’d been drinking with Diana and began playing the childhood clapping game pat-a-cake — but added they often missed each other’s hands, which was his excuse for the bruising on her body.
He also tried to excuse bruises by saying his sibling had downed too much booze and passed out, so he’d pulled her by the arms to her room, according to police.
After being told Diana’s death was being investigated as a homicide, he then asked for a lawyer, investigators say, and clammed up!
Battersby is facing charges of domestic violence murder and domestic violence rape. He’s being held on $1 million bond.
