ANARCHY
Seattle siege & gun battles push America to brink
AGROWING backlash against police and a frightening surge in nationwide violence has put America on the road to total anarchy and threatens to shatter national security during the 244th Fourth of July celebration, experts tell GLOBE!
Taking advantage of justified, peaceful protests across the nation, criminals have been running wild in the streets, with hundreds of shootings in major cities and entire areas declared lawless “no-go zones.”
Now, alarmed authorities and analysts warn large-scale protests on Independence Day could provide cover for terrorists to launch a horrific strike on a scale worse than 9/11.
Terror expert Dr. Jim Garrow points out the nation’s embattled police departments are spread too thin monitoring protesters calling for racial equality, leaving them unable to root out criminal elements or deadly plots by extremist groups!
“The Fourth of July is always a favorite for terrorists because
GLOBE / July 13, 2020 it’s the celebration of independence, and they want to dampen any enthusiasm for Americans,” he tells GLOBE.
Meanwhile, he notes, “Criminals are having a heyday. They get to run like hooligans all over the place and destroy property and start fires, while hiding under the cover of protesters.
“The terrorists seize on that anarchy because it gives them cover for their real intentions — to create chaos.”
Already, recent calls to defund the police have led protesters to brazenly declare “free zones” — where cops are barred and they patrol with assault weapons, experts say.
In Seattle, hard-left occupiers declared a Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone and forced cops to abandon a police precinct.
The siege held for a week before exploding into anarchy and violence on June 20, leaving a 19-year-old man dead and another in critical condition after gunfights.
Meanwhile, protesters in Washington, D.C., attempting to set up the Black House Autonomous Zone, were swiftly stopped by law enforcement.
U.S. Park Police and local cops wearing riot gear used batons and mace to disperse a crowd trying to topple the Andrew Jackson statue in Washington’s Lafayette Square.
On Father’s Day weekend,
Chicago recorded 104 people shot, leaving 14 dead.
New York City saw 125 shootings in the first three weeks of June, with more than a dozen dead.
Other cities reporting an uptick in violence include Minneapolis, where 12 were shot including one fatally in a single incident.
Three people were killed and 11 were injured in shootings at a party in Charlotte, N.C.
Detroit had 25 people treated at hospitals for gunshots and four people were killed.
Police Chief James Craig says: “We predicted early on there would be tremendous tension and tremendous stress brought on by COVID-19 [lockdowns].
