Since losing the Ranch gig, Masterson has done only one film, Killing Winston Jones, which has yet to be released. “Danny’s been playing in poker tournaments, hosting a radio show and doing some deejaying under the moniker DJ Mom’s Jeans,” says the insider.
He’s hired high-powered criminal defense attorney Tom Mesereau, famous for helping Michael Jackson beat all 14 counts at his 2005 child molestation trial.
Masterson wed actress Bijou Phillips in 2011. They share a six-year-old daughter, Fianna.
“Everyone feels for his wife,” adds the insider. “She must be so upset.”
