IT’S SUDDENLY SUNNY FOR CHER & SON!
Longtime feud melts when granny steps in
AILING Cher and her estranged son Elijah Blue have buried the hatchet — with the bighearted star moving him and his wife into her ritzy home for the pandemic lockdown!
And sources say the peacemaker who ended the family feud is Cher’s 94-year-old mom, Georgia Holt!
“When the country recently went on lockdown, Cher’s mom, who’s kept in close contact with her grandson and his wife, Angie King, went to Cher and insisted they have a serious conversation,” dishes a source.
“Georgia pointed out that she and Cher were not getting any younger, and life was too short to miss valuable time with family.”
Cher agreed and the result was Elijah and Angie happily accepted her invitation.
Elijah, 44, her son with second hubby rocker Gregg Allman, has been bitter ever since the 74-year-old Believe singer shipped him off to boarding school at age seven.
Tensions between mom and son eased when Elijah began dating British singer Angie in 2010 — and she even let the young couple move in with her for a short time!
But it didn’t take long before Cher and Angie clashed “and the three of them decided it would be better if the pair found a place of their own,” notes the tattletale.
“I think Elijah felt abandoned again,” and when he and Angie got hitched in 2013, “Cher wasn’t invited to the ceremony,” says the source.
But thanks to his granny, Elijah and Angie are sharing quarantine with his famous mom, who’s been battling the energy-sapping EpsteinBarr virus, which often leaves her bedridden.
“It’s been a great time for Cher having Elijah and Angie there,” says the source. “And they can’t wait until the quarantine is lifted and Georgia can spend more time with them.”
