A LIFE LESSON FOR WHINING WINONA!
DITZY Winona Ryder is in danger of blowing her revived career by nearly triggering a nasty feud with legendary Godfather director and Hollywood powerhouse Francis Ford Coppola!
Now 48 and starring in
Netflix’s Stranger Things and HBO’s The Plot Against America, the airhead first skyrocketed to fame as a teen in classic hits Beetlejuice, Heathers and Edward Scissorhands.
By 20, she found herself the leading lady — and in over her head — in a big-budget Dracula flick directed by Coppola and starring A-listers Keanu Reeves, Anthony Hopkins and Gary Oldman.
And now, in interviews about her new hit shows, the brunette put her foot in it by accusing Coppola of shouting insults and encouraging other verbal abuse during the Dracula shoot.
In order to get her to cry, she claimed the director screamed, “You whore, you whore!” and urged Reeves and Hopkins, who refused, to do the same.
Coppola fired back, saying he never raised his voice with the foul words, but did ask Oldman, who played Dracula, to whisper improvised “horrific and evil” talks in her ear to try and get tears flowing.
After nearly smearing
Coppola, the dipstick actress has backtracked and agreed with his version.
But what really makes Winona a dumbbell is her apparent lack of understanding of what real abuse is — AND the acting business she’s been in for over 30 years.
Someone is emotionally abusive when they INTEND to injure with nasty, ugly utterances.
In other words, even if Coppola did say those words, his object was to get a better performance out of her, not scar her emotionally.
Hollywood is full of stories of sneaky tricks played by directors on actors to get the right response.
Winona should know that, but apparently tried to hop on the current #MeToo bandwagon by painting Coppola as a bad guy.
But all she did was make it look like she’s got Stranger Things going on in her numbskull noggin!
