GLOATING blowhard Tucker Carlson is loving Chris Wallace’s flop at CNN and can’t wait to stick it to him when he’s finally canned, sources blab.
The anchors were never fans of each other and the feelings are even harder since Wallace quit his highprofile gig at FOX News following 18 years at the network to become the face of CNN’s streaming service.
But CNN abruptly shut down the project just one month after launching Wallace’s new show, Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?
The program has moved to regular CNN and HBO Max and is tanking in the ratings.
Tipsters say Wallace went from a highly regarded newsman to just another starstruck TV interviewer, and point to his chat with Shania Twain that left viewers cold.
Sources say he’s making a mockery of himself by sucking up to stars to land big names for his show.
“Chris went over there bragging he’d be the big cheese — now it backfired,” spills an insider. “Tucker says the guy had it coming for jumping ship and trying to take the audience over to a rival network.
“There are betting pools at FOX on who’s going to be the next CNN star to get canned — and Tucker’s betting it’ll be Chris.”
