PREACHER BUSTED FOR HIRING HITMEN
Accused of paying $40G to snuff his daughter’s boyfriend
SELF-PROCLAIMED pastor Samuel Davalos Pasillas paid two dudes almost $40,000 to gun down his daughter’s boyfriend in California — but the unholy terror was arrested after the would-be hitmen simply wounded their target, authorities say.
The gal’s injured beau — whose name was not released by investigators — drove himself to a hospital after being ambushed in Riverside. The bullet-riddled victim was driving his car around 7 p.m. on Oct. 21 when another vehicle pulled up alongside him and gunmen opened fire, striking him several times.
Detectives say they found evidence Pasillas, 47, met with men he enlisted to rub out the Romeo. They also charge the disapproving dad conducted surveillance on his girl’s suitor in the weeks before the shooting — and told gunmen where to find him!
“He actually provided information to these suspects he h hired,” hi d” says Ri Riverside id PoP lice Officer Ryan Railsback.
Pasillas was charged with solicitation for murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
Sources say Pasillas claimed to be a minister at Victorville’s Centro Internacional de Oración, but Rafael Porras, the church’s actual pastor, says he was simply a longtime volunteer at the church.
To date, one other coconspirator has been arrested — 55-year-old Juan Manuel Cebreros, who’s facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
Detectives say they’re also seeking Jesus Abel Felix Garcia, but his whereabouts are unknown.
Pasillas and Cebreros — who both pleaded not guilty at a joint arraignment — are each being held on $1 million bond at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
