Sweet Stuff

Pinnacle has been known as one of the longest golf balls on the market for a while, but now, in addition to more distance with a new formulation, a softer version has been introduced that allows more feel around the greens while still getting the length that this brand has been known for over the years.

Designed, tested and manufactured by the Acushnet Company in their own state-of-the-art research, testing and manufacturing facilities in Massachusetts, the new Pinnacle Rush helps players hit the ball further utilizing a newly developed high-energy core to deliver initial velocity and an advanced icosahedral dimple design for more penetrating and consistent ball flight.

“Pinnacle has been a longstanding leader in its segment of the market. Given our extensive performance testing of these products, we expect that this lead is likely to grow,” said Michael Mahoney, Director, Golf Ball Product Management for Acushnet.

“Pinnacle Rush is either longer, or longer and softer, than other top selling distance competitors that retail under $20. Pinnacle Soft is longer and softer than the leading competitive products positioned as extremely soft or low compression.”

The Pinnacle Soft is the softest golf ball in the history of the brand, and allows players to not give up on their short game while playing the ball for the extra distance that it can provide. The proprietary core formulation combines with an incredibly soft ionomer cover to produce the softest-feeling Pinnacle ever made. The Pinnacle Soft’s advanced icosahedral design with 332 dimples ensures an ideal, consistent flight.

The new Pinnacle lineup has some nice color options as well. Pinnacle Rush is available in both white and optic yellow, while Pinnacle Soft is available in three color options: white (with black play number); white (with pink play number); and pink (with black play number).

The hot days of summer are just around the corner and many who want to play golf are going to have to shift to their warm weather mode of less cloths, more ice and perhaps even playing at different times of the day to avoid the heat in some of the real warm climates around the country.

Another way to beat the heat is with a unique product whose concept is not new, but the design for golf is relatively new—the PGF-V Personal Golf Fan, which provides golfers a portable, batteryoperated fan that is designed to fit in a golf cart’s beverage holder.

The newest edition of the Personal Golf Fan takes the great features of the original product and adds variable speed along with impressive portable power. Designed to fit in cup holders in golf carts, as well as boats, cars and trucks, the PGF-V provides a refreshing breeze on the fairways.

The PGF-V is the first patented, variable-speed, portable fan engineered specifically to fit in golf cart cup holders. Dial up high to crank out wind speeds up to 20 mph on those really hot days, whether you’re on the golf course, in your boat, relaxing by the pool or working hard at the office.

The versatile Personal Golf Fan includes screw-on cup adapters and polymer rings engineered to fit seven different style golf cart cup holders. Its new lithium-ion battery is at the top of its class for performance, reliability and safety. The rechargeable battery that powers the fan will run 40 hours on low setting, 16 hours on medium and 3.5 hours on high. Its battery charge time is under 3 hours, if completely discharged. Powering the unit is a high-efficiency, highpower, ball-bearing, long lasting brushless motor.

This fan is easy to use out of the box, comes with a handy carrying case and even a clear plastic rain cover for those spring and summer showers. It can be dialed up high to crank out wind speeds up to 20 mph on those really hot days.
