Palm Island Resort Introduces Solar Powered Golf Carts

CAPE HAZE, FL – Palm Island Resort has unveiled 10 new solar powered golf carts that are now available to guests who want to travel in style while demonstrating their commitment to energy conservation.

Each solar powered golf cart comfortably seats 4-5 people and features PowerFilm solar panels that in are easy to install and available in 3V or 48V to match each cart’s voltage. & General Manager Rick Brunette. “As of today, we now have a total of 16 golf carts in an expanded test with 10 of the carts available for rental to our guests and property owners.”

Benefits of the solar golf carts include a constant charge that allows each golf cart to run longer and go further, extended battery life when the batteries are not discharged, and perhaps most importantly, the positive contribution to the environment by offsetting carbon dioxide emissions.

Palm Island Resort plans to further expand the solar golf cart fleet to include conversion of 80 rental golf carts within its fleet.
