2 NC homes are finalists in HGTV’s ‘Ultimate’ homes
ASHEVILLE – Two multimillion-dollar Asheville area homes have been selected as finalists in HGTV’s Ultimate House Hunt 2023.
Picks include a $12.9 million gargantuan “mountain retreat” in Arden overlooking the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course and a $2.9 million Grove Park home in North Asheville, both represented by Allen Tate/Beverly Hanks, Western North Carolina’s largest real estate operation.
This is the third year they’ve had listings in the running, with four 2022 finalists, among them a downtown luxury condo and offerings in Arden, Brevard and another Grove Park home.
The competition showcases “extraordinary” homes for sale in eight categories, which ranges from beachfront homes to downtown dwellings. This year’s Asheville area selections are nominated in the “countryside retreats” category.
The final 95 homes can be toured via photo gallery on HGTV.com/househunt and people can cast a vote for their favorite properties. A winner will be chosen in each category, plus an overall favorite will be awarded for the listing receiving the most votes. Voting runs through Aug. 3.
“We are very pleased to have two of our listings represented in the contest again this year,” said Sandi Alguire, Luxury Marketing Specialist at Allen Tate/ Beverly-Hanks, in a June 28 news release. “Separated by more than 100 years, these homes showcase the best of historical and modern luxury living in Asheville, NC. It is an honor to be included among this year’s nominees and share our beautiful region with so many.”
