Scene… Rumor has it that some folks in Southport spotted actors and close friends Bradley Cooper and Leonardo DiCaprio on a boat cruising Long Island Sound last week. Cooper is renting a home on Sasco Hill Road in Fairfield for the summer.

The 26th annual YMCA of Greenwich Golf Outing honoring board member Jeff Castle takes place on Monday, July 20, at Greenwich Country Club on Doubling Road in Greenwich. The event, which begins at 10 a.m., will feature lunch, a full found of golf, cocktails, dinner, awards and the Alan Oyugi Memorial Putting Contest. The store is full of stuff for summer entertaini­ng as well as Greenwicht­hemed items. Gift wrapping, curbside pickup and local delivery are also available. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends. Wedded bliss… Actress and former Riverside resident Cassidy Gifford, the 26-year-old daughter of TV personalit­y Kathie Lee Gifford and late football great Frank Gifford, tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, 29-year-old businessma­n Ben Wierda, on June 13. The couple got married in an intimate ceremony at the Michigan home of Wierda due to the coronaviru­s pandemic. A big celebratio­n is planned in the future.

Out there… The Cheesecake Factory in the Town Center in Stamford will be closing after a four-year run. The doors will close Aug. 1, resulting in the layoff of all of its 104 employees. The popular food chain, which opened there in October 2016, still has locations in Danbury, Trumbull and West Hartford. According to a spokespers­on for the Cheesecake Factory, several other locations are expected to close also due to the economic impact of COVID-19.
