Greenwich home with views of apple orchard listed for over $6M

- By Jonathan Kopeliovich

Greenwich might be one of the oldest towns in Connecticut, founded in 1640, but there's nothing old about the recently-updated contemporary single-family home at 3 North Stanwich Road.

Built in 1971, the twolevel house is listed for $6.175 million and has four bedrooms, six bathrooms and two half bathrooms. The home sits on a 4.15-acre lot and has 5,804 square feet of interior space, not including the basement, which measures up to “about 2,000 square feet,” listing agent Yashmin Lloyds said in an email.

Inside the home, there's a formal dining room, a library and office space. The kitchen was redesigned in 2022 with additions like custom cabinetry, two dishwashers, a butler's pantry with a wine fridge and an induction cooktop, according to Lloyds. There are also new bathrooms, a primary suite and three additional en-suite bedrooms, as well as a workshop and a playroom in the lower level, the listing notes.

The house also features glass walls, which fill the home with natural light and allow “views into the apple orchard” and garden, according to the listing. Adding to the home's landscape is a terrace outside that allows access into the wood-paneled living room, as well as a spa with a heated pool and a waterfall.

Near the contemporary home is the Brant Foundation, a contemporary art museum that is a two-minute drive from the property. Also nearby is the Stanwich Club, a golf club that has hosted tournaments like the Palmer Cup and the USGA Mid-Am championship, according to their site.

Prices in Greenwich have risen sharply over the past year. From April 2021 to April 2022, the median sale price of a home has risen by 56.2 percent from $1.51 million to $2.36 million, according to national real estate brokerage website Redfin.

The 3 North Stanwich Road home is listed by Compass and is presented by listing agent Yashmin Lloyds (917-597-0178).
