Scene… New York Yankees manager and Greenwich resident Aaron Boone was seen dining at the Tony’s at the J House in Riverside last weekend. Also seen at the popular spot was WOR radio host Mark Simone.

Scene… Jean-Georges Vongericht­en, celebrity chef and restaurate­ur, joined Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager on “Today with Hoda & Jenna” Thursday morning and shared his recipe for sautéed shrimp with homemade chili oil. Vongericht­en is the owner of the Happy Monkey on Greenwich Avenue, which opened last summer.

Scene… The Bedford Planning Board has approved the controvers­ial

plans to erect a 130-foot cell tower on land at 954 Old Post Road in Bedford, N.Y., owned by actor and former Pound Ridge, N.Y. resident Richard Gere and real estate developer Russell Hernandez. The duo that are owners of The Bedford Post Inn offered the land on the inn’s 14-acre property for the proposed tower.

Out there… Greenwich native and historian Missy Wolfe will speak at Greenwich Town Hall on Jan. 30 at 4 p.m. Wolfe will talk about the colonial era in Greenwich. She is the author of “The Great Ledger: Records of the Town of Greenwich,” Hidden History of Colonial Greenwich” and “Insubordin­ate Spirit.
