Greenwich police: Woman tried to break into car overnight in Byram
GREENWICH — Police were called to North Water Street in the Byram section of town on a report of a woman trying to break into a car around 1 a.m. Oct. 15, according to an arrest report.
Jesse Amberstone, 51, of North Main Street, Port Chester, N.Y., was observed trying to enter a vehicle through a rear window taped over by a plastic sheet, police said, and she gave misleading answers about her identity.
Amberstone was charged with criminal attempt at burglary and interfering with a police investigation. She was released without bail.

A dispute at 3 a.m. Sunday in the Chickahominy section of town was reported to police, and an arrest later followed, authorities said.
Hugo Cabana, 34, of Grange Street, Greenwich, was charged with assault and disorderly conduct, police said. Police said he struck another person. Bail was set at $1,000.

Kristopher Chimblo, 32, of Harold Street, Cos Cob, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on the evening of Oct. 17, police said.
He was detained at Greenwich Hospital, according to the arrest report, and police said he was in possession of pills, and a small residue of white powder that tested positive for cocaine.
He also had syringes in his possession, according to the arrest report. Chimblo was released from custody on a promise to appear.

A Greenwich motorist was accused of backing into another car and then driving off in April after damaging it on Bruce Place, police said.
An arrest warrant was served on Juan CamposPeralta, 31, of Sherwood Place, on Friday, police said. He was chaged with evading responsibility and also given a ticket for unsafe backing, police said. Bail was set at $2,500.

Officers responded to a disturbance in the Chickahominy section of town on the afternoon of Oct. 14, police said.
Francis Rufino, 38, of Kansa Road, East Stroudsburg, Pa., was charged with criminal trespass, harassment and disorderly conduct, police said. He had previously been warned to stay away from the residence, police said. Bail was set at $3,500.
Fabio Lippolis, 55, of Perry Avenue, Staten Island, N.Y., was charged Oct. 13 with threatening and violating a protective order, police said.
The arrest stemmed from an incident in late September, police said. Lippolis was picked up from the Westchester County (N.Y.) Jail, where he was in custody in connection with a another criminal matter, police said.
Bail was set at $7,500 in the Greenwich incident. —
An officer found a person sleeping in a Kia Spectra on Highview Avenue in Old Greenwich on the night of Oct. 10, according to police, and a check of the license plate revealed the car was listed as stolen in Bridgeport.
The driver also gave misleading information, according to the arrest report. Jade Moore, 33, of Birdsong Lane, Stamford, was charged with larceny and interfering with a police investigation, police said. Bail was set at $400. —
Eric Estrada, 27, of Round Hill Club Road, Greenwich, was charged with driving while intoxicated and evading responsibility on the night of Oct. 12, police said.
He hit a curb and shrubs on Round Hill Road and drove off, police said. Bail was set at $250.
