Reimagined for today’s buyers
Angela Swift, a Realtor with Compass Connecticut’s Greenwich brokerage, describes her listing at 10 Pine Ridge Road, Greenwich, as “just what today’s buyer wants!” The classic, white 1950s-era colonial presides over 1.4 acres of level lawn in mid-country, with five bedrooms, 3,629 square feet of living space, and attached garaging for two cars. The current asking price is $2.695 million.
The current owners – Swift’s sellers – acquired the property in 2017. “I remember driving past the house and immediately knowing it was for us,” the homeowner recalled in an email to Greenwich Time. “We loved the clean and classic look of the house and how it was set back on the property with the large circle driveway. Also, the location makes it so easy to get around town, but still feels private.”
The owners completed a full renovation of the house in 2020. “It was important to us to keep the original charm – including the back staircase – but update the space for our growing family,” the seller recalled. “Some of the fun additions include an eat-in kitchen, primary suite, vaulted ceilings and finishing the third floor to include a playroom and guest suite. Also, we updated all the mechanicals and added a lot of smarthome features. We put a lot of thought into the landscaping and added classics, like a row of cherry trees, hydrangeas and boxwoods.”
Entertaining here was paramount to the owners, and the buyer may appreciate how they considered future celebrations when designing the formal rooms

“When planning the renovation, it was important to us that the house was set up to have friends and family over,” the homeowner explained. “We have loved hosting holidays here. The floor plan is great for cooking a big meal and moving through the butler’s pantry to the dining room.
“One of our favorite things to do when we have people over is to open up the French doors and have dessert around the fire pit on the patio. We have tried to create an indoor-outdoor living environment,” she added.
In the kitchen, they choose appliances by SubZero and Wolf. They appended it with a bright breakfast nook and a butler’s pantry.
“The kitchen is my favorite room in the house,” the seller said. “It was designed with the intention of bringing the family together. The nook makes the perfect spot for breakfast or kids’ art projects, and the walnut-topped island is everyone’s favorite spot to sit while we make dinner. We wanted to keep the look clean, with all white cabinetry
and quartz countertops, but still pull in some warm colors in the island.”
Asked about the neighborhood and the distinctive mid-country Greenwich location, the seller said, “Mid-country is a wonderful blend of convenience and privacy. The house is located on a quiet cul-desac with lots of green space, but still only a quick drive to town.”
One of those green spaces is the nearby Montgomery Pinetum Park, with walking trails and botanical gardens.
The seller also cited the proximity to schools as a perk. This home is in the North Street district, which graduates public-school students into Central Middle and onward to Greenwich High. Greenwich also affords a number of nearby private school options.
