The Cottage restaurant coming to Greenwich
GREENWICH — Chef Brian Lewis is adding to his restaurant portfolio, planning a second location of The Cottage to open in Greenwich later this year.
The new 60-plus seat restaurant and bar, at 49 Greenwich Ave., will join Lewis’ original concept in Westport, which opened in December 2015. His Full House Hospitality Group also operates the Japaneseinspired OKO in Westport and Rye, N.Y.
“We’ve always looked forward to the day that we can bring The Cottage to a new market after being so blessed with our devoted clientele and hardworking team in Westport,” Lewis said in a statement. “As we experienced such continued support during COVID and after six successful years in Westport, the time was right to grow and find a sister location to complement the original Cottage.”
Like the Westport location, The Cottage Greenwich will feature seasonal menus with locally sourced ingredients from Connecticut- and New York-based farmers and purveyors. The new location will spotlight some of the Westport menu’s favorites, including Wagyu beef brisket steam buns, duck fried rice, The Cottage burger with Gruyere, sriracha aioli and bacon and onion jam; and a hot fudge and peanut butter sundae.
At the bar, cocktail favorites such as The Smokey Peat (mezcal, Glenmorangie, curacao and sriracha) and The Spicy Pear (pear vodka, Bartlett pear,
cayenne and cinnamon) will be featured on the upcoming Greenwich menu, alongside both classic and signature drinks, an international wine list, a
full selection of local craft beer, and low ABV or alcohol-free options.
The Cottage Greenwich will be open Tuesdays through Sundays for dinner
service at first, expanding to offer lunch, Sunday brunch and to-go options soon after.
