Greenwich Time

Budkins’ traits will serve her well as town clerk

- Lolly Prince is former Greenwich first selectwoman.

Jackie Budkins has been an active member of our community her entire life. She is kind, caring, compassionate and has given her time and energy to Greenwich. Jackie is running for the position of town clerk in the upcoming election Nov. 2. I ask you to vote her.

The town clerk is oftentimes the first place new residents visit when they move to Greenwich. Her uplifting, positive personality and enthusiasm will be most welcoming and refreshing to all. Jackie will bring to the office the experience and knowledge in the processes, procedures and inner workings of town clerk which she learned over her 20-year career as an agent in the Greenwich Real Estate community.

Digitizing the town records is underway in the Office and Jackie is committed to continuing the process in an effective and comprehensive manner. Extending hours to better serve and extend access to residents is an important goal she intends to meet. Her extensive experience using the office provides her with a unique perspective as to how and where she can continue to build on the effectiveness of the town clerk’s office. From marriage licenses, to birth certificates, Representative Town Meeting records and absentee ballots, the office is widely used in town.

Jackie will build on the success of the past, leveraging technology, enhancing services and being a welcoming ambassador to new residents. Not only is she determined, knowledgeable and qualified but she kind, involved and an extremely positive person. These traits will serve her well.

Please join me by voting for Jackie Budkins on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
