PUBLISHER’S LETTER

- Daniela J. Jaeger Daniela J. Jaeger Group Publisher, TOTI Media

The number 25 marks a quarter of a century. For us at TOTI Media it marks 25 years of a publishing adventure that began with our first magazine Times of the Islands. Over those 25 years, we

added RSW Living, Gulf & Main, Bonita

& Estero and Cape Coral Living. We’ve celebrated way more than 25 great places to experience in Southwest Florida—some that trace their roots back to the 1800s when they were just sleepy small towns. Some of these places we’ve covered again and again as they’ve evolved through the 20th and 21st centuries. And our loyal readers and subscribers have come along for the ride, seeing the area’s changes documented in the pages of our magazines.

As Southwest Florida continues to evolve, we continue to delve in and find out what’s new, what’s changed and what’s definitely worth a visit. So get ready to dip your toe into the waters that surround us. In the March/April issue, we dive in with stories about the waterways and how to navigate them, where the alligators can be spotted, and how to snag a fish and drop an anchor.

Our water—clean water—is precious to every Southwest Florida resident and visitor. No matter if you’re boating, fishing or walking along the shore, we all have a responsibility to respect the water by cleaning up after ourselves and not leaving trash or fishing line behind. A little effort goes a long way in preserving our Gulf, rivers and lakes.

The issue’s theme is: “On the Water.” We invite you to explore underwater in Getting

Down in the Gulf (Page 50), to catch the big one in The Art of Fishing (page 54), to visit Florida’s islands in Fun on a Ferry (page 68) and to glide across our waterways in The

Thrill of an Airboat (page 70). So get out, be adventurous and connect with one of the professional guides in your area who can help you discover the wonders of beautiful Southwest Florida.

We look forward to many more years of featuring all the great things about this special corner of the state and hope you’ll be there with us for the next chapter.
