Jerry Donald Hayworth, 81, lifelong Panhandle resident, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 8, 2020 in Cimarron County, Oklahoma from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

The son of E.M. and Mary (Griffith) Hayworth, he was born June 20, 1939 in Texhoma, Oklahoma. Jerry graduated from Texhoma High School with the Class of 1957, and attended college at Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell. Jerry served in the US Army, and was honorably discharged in 1966.

Jerry was married to LaVerda “Birdie” (Deen) Yocham in Stratford, Texas on April 26, 1983. He was a member of the Guymon First Christian Church, Texhoma Masonic Lodge, and was a regular blood donor with the Red Cross and Coffee Memorial Blood Center. Jerry was a driver for Texas County RediMix.

He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Roy Maltravis Hayworth, and two brothers, Murray and Samuel Hayworth.

Survivors include his wife, Birdie of the home, daughter, Desiree and husband, David Davis of Stratford, Texas, son, Anthony Hayworth of Austin, Texas, four step children, Trisha Campbell and husband, Don of Guymon, Robert Yocham of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ronald Yocham of Enid, Oklahoma and Paula Krier and husband, Greg of Guymon, and numerous grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren.

Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, October 14th at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Guymon with Pastor Larry Watson officiatin­g.

Memorials in memory of Jerry may be given to the Guymon First Christian Church. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
