Shortly after celebratin­g her 91st birthday, Pauline Fischer was met by many loved ones when God welcomed her home on Thursday, October 8, 2020.

Pauline Dahl Fischer was born October 5, 1929 to Peter and Florence (Jensen) Dahl, in Hansford County, Texas. She and her brothers and sisters were raised in the Oslo Community where she was an active member of the Oslo Lutheran Church and Gruver schools. After graduation from Gruver High School in 1948, she attended Amarillo Beauty College and worked as a beautician for Esther’s in Guymon.

Pauline met Edward Fischer at a Lutheran youth function and they were married on August 20, 1950 at the Oslo Lutheran Church. She and Edward spent their married life on the family farm north of Optima and attended the Trinity Lutheran Church in Guymon. Pauline was an active partner in their farming/ranching operation, and through the years she was a local and county 4-H leader, member of the Texas County Fair Superinten­dents, Loaves and Fishes Board, served as an Election official, Farm Bureau Women and served in several capacities in the Trinity Lutheran Church including the LWML Piecemaker­s, making hundreds of charity quilts for world relief. She was a 43-year lifetime member, actively serving for 41 years of the Hospital Auxiliary Pink Ladies and loved serving in the Canteen. She was a proud supporter of her children’s and grandchild­ren’s athletic and scholastic activities, rarely missing any of their performanc­es or events.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Edward; son-in-law, Paul Jenkins, Jr.; grand-son-in-law, Joe Buford; two brothers: Fred and Elmo Dahl and three sisters: Alma Walker, Viola Monroe and Adeline Berkenkamp.

Survivors include her four children: Teresa and Larry Bradley of Crescent, OK, Wathina and Chuck Luthi of Gage, OK, Dianna Jenkins of Optima and Clyde and Connie Fischer of Optima; she was very proud of her grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren: Darcy and Pat Smith and Sage; Doug and Kelli Bradley, Carter and Kinley; Dena Buford, Eli and Kasen; Davis and KayLonni Bradley; Bert and Sally Luthi, Emily, Heidi, Molly and Chase; Alex and Heather Luthi, Ivan and Jack; Cale Fischer; Camra Fischer and Kalahan; Coy and Katey Fischer and Milton She is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, October 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Guymon with retired Pastor Mark Wescoatt and Pastor Tyler Arends officiatin­g. A private family inurnment will be held at Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Pauline can be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Church Women’s Missionary League or Camp Lutherhave­n Retreat Center.
