North Park Students of the Week

M’Leah Lozano is the 5th grade Student of the Week at North Park Elementary School. She is the daughter of Fernando and Crystal Lozano as well as the granddaugh­ter of Kevin and Patricia Deering and Sabina Lozano.

Her teachers stated, “M’Leah is a very good student. She is always helping others and a real pleasure to have in class.” When she was asked how she feels in regards to her selection

she replied, “I think this is really cool! I always try to be the best I can be.” Her favorite book is Guts. M’Leah has been recognized as the most improved swimmer, overall 3rd place swimmer, and 1st place relay winner with the Guymon Gators swim team. She is involved in competitiv­e cheer at Head Over Heels, Kids Inc. softball and track. Away from school she enjoys being with friends, family, and playing with her baby brother. She most admires Gaby Buttler because she is super athletic and a really great cheerleade­r as well as a role model for all to look up to. M’Leah plans to graduate from college and be a pediatrici­an.

Alamayu Lire is the 6th grade Student of the Week at North Park Elementary School. He is the son of Yohaness Masebo and Tsega Abamo. Alamayu’s teachers said, “Alamayu is a fantastic student and a class leader. He completes all assignment­s on time and is very helpful in the classroom.” When he was asked his feelings in regards to his selection he replied, “I am very happy that my teachers chose me. I always try to do my best and be the best I can be at school.” His favorite book is Percy Jackson. He is involved in Cross Country running and Kids Inc. soccer. Away from school he enjoys playing soccer and spending time with family and friends. His future plan is to become a pro soccer player.
