Gary Ledbetter

Gary Lewis Ledbetter, 68, of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Passed away from this earth on 2-14-2021, born 9-271952 in Fayettevil­le, Arkansas to James Lewis Ledbetter and Shirley Ann Ledbetter of Piney, Oklahoma.

Gary met the love of his life, Gidget Nora Bernice Clifford in 1985. They shared their life together for seven years, then married on December 5th of 1992. They spent most of their married life together in Guymon, OK. Then the last seven years in Pauls Valley, OK. Close to their three boys and grandchild­ren.

Gary is survived by his wife Gidget Nora Bernice Ledbetter. Three sons: Paul Ledbetter and wife Courtney Ledbetter of Pauls Valley, OK. Joe Ledbetter and wife Sarah Ledbetter of Elmore city, OK. John Ledbetter and wife Katie Ledbetter of Moore, OK. His mother Shirley Ledbetter of Guymon, OK. Sister Linda Scott and Ray Scott of Guymon, OK. Brother Tim Ledbetter and wife April Ledbetter of Guymon, OK. Three granddaugh­ters Tatem Ledbetter, Hailey Ledbetter, and Mallory Ledbetter. Two grandsons Lane Ledbetter and Hunter Ledbetter. Two nephews David Scott and Brian Scott. Three nieces Jana Scott Stepp, Brookie Ledbetter, and Brandy Ledbetter. Three great nephews Brendan Scott, Bodie Stepp, McCoy Ledbetter. Two great nieces Camron Scott and Erin Stepp.

Gary was proceeded in death by his father James Lewis Ledbetter. His maternal grandparen­ts Haskell and Monica Adair of Piney, OK. His paternal grandparen­ts Brooks and Avis Ledbetter of Guymon, OK. Nephew Timothy Ledbetter.

Gary was baptized as a child at Highland Baptist Church in Hobbs, NM. As a child his family moved with the oil field to Texas and then to New Mexico. When Gary was in the second grade his family moved from New Mexico to Guymon, OK where they stayed. Gary graduated from Guymon High School with the class of 1971. Gary worked as a driller in the oilfield for most of his life. His dad Lewis Ledbetter trained him in the oilfield, Gary loved working with his father. He loved time spent with his family on get togethers and birthdays. He also loved fishing with his three boys, target shooting, and just spending time with them. Always teasing and playing with his nephews, nieces, and grandkids. In school he loved football. Gary was a member of a boxing club. Gary held the title of Quickest Amateur Knockout for many years.

Celebratio­n of life service will be in Guymon, OK at families convenienc­e and will be announced.
