Herman also loved motorcycles and antique cars, as well as classical music and the symphony. Herman was an active member of the Guymon First Baptist Church, serving as a deacon for many years.

Herman and Betty enjoyed spending their retirement traveling and visiting grandchildren. Betty passed away in May 2017. Herman and Wanda Fischer were married on June 2, 2018, and enjoyed each other’s companionship.

In addition to his wife Betty, he was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Roland “Rolie” McCutchen in 1972; sons-in-law, Tom Millican, Tony Byers; and two brothers, Jimmy and Billy Joe McCutchen.
