District 1 County Health Department­s welcome new provider Angela Myers

WOODWARD – Angela Myers, APRNCNP, FNP recently joined the District 1 County Health Department­s, serving as Primary Care Provider for Oklahomans in the northwest region.

Myers will provide services at several local county health department­s as well as the Mobile Wellness Unit.

Myers began her nursing career in Minnesota in 1995 after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She then pursued her studies after relocating to Oklahoma, earning her Master of Science in Nursing degree during 2011 to become a Certified Family Nurse Practition­er. Her career then led to a major Tulsa metropolit­an hospital where she served, as charge nurse in the ICU and house supervisor for several years. She recently returned to Northweste­rn Oklahoma, joining the Woodward County Health Department.

“We are delighted to welcome Angela aboard, her long-standing career in the medical sector will be of great benefit in our district,” said Ashley Ferguson, District 1 County Health Department Regional Administra­tive Director. “Currently, appointmen­ts are available for family planning visits with Angela at our clinics in Beaver, Custer, Harper, Woods and the Woodward County Health Department­s. We are working on developing plans to expand provider services in our clinics and the Mobile Wellness Unit later this year,” continued Ferguson.

Services available throughout the district and the Mobile Wellness Unit include: Women Infant and Children (WIC) visits, family planning visits, sexually transmitte­d infection (STI) exams, immunizati­ons, COVID-19 testing and vaccinatio­ns, flu vaccinatio­ns, and other public health services.
