I-75 lane restrictions
As part of the Interstate 75/Thru the Valley mega project, various lane restrictions and ramp closures will be in place beginning tonight and continuing through next week.
There will be a single-lane closure on I-75 North today, from Glendale-Milford Road to I-275. These restrictions will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Then, on Saturday, the ramp from I-75 South to Sharon Road will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, and the northbound I-75 ramp to Sharon Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
In addition to these lane and ramp closures, the following the restrictions will be in place next week:
■ Sunday: Short-term full closures on I-75 South at Sharon Road, between 12:01 and 4 a.m.
■ Monday: Short-term full closures on I-75 North, just north of Glendale-Milford Road, between 12:01 and 4 a.m.
■ Monday and Tuesday: Single-lane closures on I-75 North and South, nightly between Glendale-Milford and Sharon roads, from 8 p.m. each night and 6 a.m. the following day.
■ Oct. 8: Short-term full closures on I-75 North at Sharon Road, between 12:01 and 4 a.m.
All work will be contingent upon the weather. Traffic will be maintained through the work zone with arrow boards, barrels and/ or signs. Detours will be posted for overnight ramp closures, and during periods of short-term, full closures on the mainline, traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers.
The project consists of reconstruction of I-75 from Glendale-Milford Road to the Kemper Road overpass, adding a fourth lane in each direction and adding capacity at the Sharon Road interchange and at Sharon Road and Chester Road.
